Welcome to the new School Year. As always, “It is a Great Day to be a Baby Mohawk!” On behalf of the administration, faculty and staff of Bethune-Bowman Elementary, I am excited to welcome you this year! Our school staff is eager to teach each child that enters our building or virtual classroom setting, creating an environment where they can flourish. It is our mission to set high expectations and provide students with the opportunities to excel and grow so they can become college and career ready. We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our students can achieve their highest potential

We are committed to educating the whole child. Our primary focus for this academic school year is to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for our faculty, staff, and students. The staff at Bethune-Bowman Elementary School is dedicated to student achievement and excellence. As we focus on student achievement, we will provide a variety of academic and educational experiences that promote student growth and learning throughout the year. We will continue to work diligently, focusing on the individual needs of our students through teacher collaboration, analyzing data and planned instruction to ensure student achievement is attained.

To assist us in making sure that your child is successful, please establish clear expectations and goals for your child regarding his/her learning. Additionally, please monitor your child's academic performance by checking the Power School Parent Portal, Class Dojo and/or contacting guidance to make an appointment to discuss any concerns.

I look forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure that our students are achieving their highest potential. Student success is attributed to the partnership and relationship we build with our parents and community. I believe that it really does take a village to raise a child and, through a team-effort, we can guarantee our children's success.
